Rob Machado's "How to Fly an Airplane" handbook
  • Overall great information, an easy read with more than adequate illustrations. Analogies generally accurate and make sense. I would recommend with the "asterisk" paragraph below.

Only me opinion, but the biggest con for me was the unrelenting attempt at humor. There is definitely a place for humor, but this author will often interject humor that completely neutralizes and interrupt the point he is trying to make. This book would be 50 pages shorter if a large part of this "humor" was more appropriately placed. You'll need to learn to read past it, over it, and through it to maximize the benefit. This would otherwise be a five star rating.
